The Diocese of Wilmington chose its theme " To Jesus Through Mary"
for the 2017 - 18 school year.
Expanding on the theme, administrators, teachers - all individuals serving the C.T.T.C.S. community
chose a different "title" that Mary, Jesus's mother, is "called on" for prayer to carry intentions to her son.
This "title" becomes the focal point for the room within the school building.
My students and I, this year, will implore Mary as the Undoer ( untier) of Knots.
This depiction of Mary became more well known when Pope Francis, as a student in Germany, looked upon the Baroque painting. He traveled back to his home in Argentina speaking of the painting to many people who needed to build their faith while facing various troubles and hardships.
I placed the image of this painting at the top of this page. Johann Georg Melchoir Schmidtner is the painter/ artist. The year of the painting's completion is probably within the early 1700's. "Mary, Undoer of Knots," hangs in the Perlach church ( Augsburg, Bavaria). Bavaria is one of Germany's states.
